The Ampie automotive enclosure is a small, rugged PC enclosure designed to work in harsh environments. The enclosure works with any type of mini-ITX motherboard (170x170mm) from fanless configurations such as VIA mini-ITX or Pentium or low power Pentium-M processors. The enclosure was designed to work with the M1-ATX automotive power supply unit. Works with one or two 2.5" drives, mounted on silicone rubber shock-mounts. It comes with wiring harness to easily connect to the M1-ATX and a quick release harness to connect to your vehicle that allows for easy removal.

    Room for Improvement December 28, 2007

    I like this case but it is so heavy and the "fins" on the case really do not help keep it any cooler other than the looking cool factor.  The new case is much better with the needed improvements such as external USB ports and what not.  The case is nice though and fits an EPIA board an M1 or M2-ATX and a laptop HD perfectly but the puny fan lack cooling power. Hope this helps.
