The Ultrasonic distance sensor consists of a ultrasonic transducer mounted on a small PCB, with mounting holes. It can detect objects 0-in. to 254-in. (6.45-meters), and range objects 6-in. to 254-in. (6.45 meters). Ultrasonic sensors are more of a shotgun distance sensor, as opposed to the 'laser beam' IR distance sensor. Use the IR distance sensor for targeted distance measurement, and the ultrasonic distance sensor for wide-range applications. Car based applications include, backup sensors, parking sensors, curb sensors, and more. Home automation applications include room monitoring, garage parking sensors, and more.

This is a dual function board with 4 separate and independent channels to connect to your Fusion Brain. You can connect up to 4 voltage sources to each of these boards. First the onboard voltage divider will scale the voltage lower, then feed it through an isolator, and on the other end the Fusion Brain will read it as a 0v to 5v number. If for any reason something bad happens on the input side (such as a large voltage spike) the isolator channel will be damaged but your Fusion Brain will be protected.

The Fusion Thermometer can be used for many different applications, but the most obvious use is for completely autonomous HVAC control. With the free Fusion Control Centre software, you can configure your digital output with a Fusion Relay Pack to turn on and off with the climate. If the thermal sensor is placed inside the car, it can keep the cabin at a constant and comfortable temperature. Another option is to place the thermal sensor on the outside and monitor the difference in temperature to know when to turn on the defroster, or simply display the readings on the screen as an info only option.
