Hacking up your Xenarc definitely ends your warranty. If you do this, Paul Noh from xenarc gives the following advice about 2008 LED backlit models:
"(2007)Cases are the same(as 2008), but (the customer will) have to modify it by
cutting out some of the tabs on the inside to position the panel correctly."
