What is the difference between the VoomPC-2 and the Ampie cases?

VoomPC-2:
  • CD-ROM Slot
  • Size: 210W x 265L x 66H (mm)
  • RCA Outputs - Not used in Mp3Car builds due to the proximity of the power supply to the RCA PCB board.  This causes noise in the audio stream.
Ampie:
  • NO CD-ROM slot
  • Size: 210W x 254L x 56H (mm)

Room for Improvement December 28, 2007

I like this case but it is so heavy and the "fins" on the case really do not help keep it any cooler other than the looking cool factor.  The new case is much better with the needed improvements such as external USB ports and what not.  The case is nice though and fits an EPIA board an M1 or M2-ATX and a laptop HD perfectly but the puny fan lack cooling power. Hope this helps.
